Positive: 🌿 Our stay at Skyline Lodge was short but truly memorable. Even with rain falling throughout the weekend, the peaceful atmosphere and sweeping coastal views made the whole experience feel light and refreshing. The expansive front yard was one of our favourite features—panoramic and open, perfect for our toddler to zoom around on her Ranger ride-on and try her hand at kite-flying for the first time. The ocean views from every bedroom were such a gift to wake up to for the entire family. We didn’t need to use the fireplace, as the home stayed warm and comfortable despite the wind and low temperatures. Both bathrooms were excellent—clean, spacious, and well-appointed—with the master bath being especially beautiful. The heating in the second bathroom was a thoughtful and welcome touch on chilly mornings. A highlight was baking my toddler's birthday cake in the well-stocked kitchen—the provided baking utensils were excellent and made it all the more special. The backyard, with its tall pine trees and quiet stillness, reminded us of the pine forests back home in Seattle—a real home away from home. Between peaceful moments indoors and the natural beauty outdoors, the space made it easy to relax and reconnect. In between showers, we ventured out to Rodney Road for a scenic walk, tried squid fishing at Ti Point, and took a peaceful beach stroll at Pakiri. The rain didn’t affect our enjoyment at all! We’d love to return—especially in the summertime—to experience even more of what this special place has to offer. 🌿

Negative: Not a dislike, but an improvement could be for a larger dining table with more chairs as we couldn't use the outdoor furniture as they were soaked from the rain.
