A short walk will take you to the start of the Tamahunga Trail, a Department of conservation bush walk. The beautiful white sand beach at Omaha, vineyards, restaurants, cycleways and bush walks are all within easy reach. A little further afield, there’s good surfing at Pakiri Beach and Tawharanui Regional Park, and excellent snorkelling and diving at Goat Island Marine Reserve.
