Our house is located 4 km from Hendaye beach (Jumeaux beach) which is ideal for families with young children, 400m from the Spanish border, 8km from Hondarribia, 20km from San Sebastian (access by car or topo), 20km from Biarritz, 10 km from Saint Jean de Luz, 100 km from Bilbao (2 hours from the house, the Guggenheim museum is a must-see once in a lifetime!).
The castle of Abbadia is a must visit (10 minutes).
Do not miss a climb to the Rhune mountain (First summit of the Pyrenees chain, with exceptional views of the Basque coast, Landes beaches and the Pyrenees). It is accessible by a number of trails or by the Petit Train de la Rhune (Sainte Ignace pass) which is 20km away.
The house keeps fresh, which is nice when you come back from the beach.
