The main Mahia beach is a short walk, a gorgeous sandy safe beach for children, kayaks and swimming. Mokatahi Hill lookout and Sunset Bar is an easy 10min stroll. A short drive will take you to similar spectacular beaches as well as a relaxing soak in Morere hot pools on SH5. Wifi is available and theres reasonable cellphone coverage.
