"The Grange" was built circa 1911 and has been the home of multiple generations from the same family since1920. The birthplace and home of the late renowned Hawkes Bay architect John Scott, it has retained its original character with a few modern enhancements.
Set back from the main road, this large homestead offers a large deck and separate BBQ area. The ground floor houses a large open plan kitchen and living space, laundry, and large dining room. Upstairs are three generous bedrooms and a second living room. At the bottom of the garden you'll find a tidal stream and jetty and Haumoana beach is just a 10minute walk from the house.
The house has been lovingly restored inside and the exterior and gardens continue to be a work-in-progress. Situated between Hastings and Napier and 5 mins drive from Clive, the Grange offers visitors the opportunity to experience a unique piece of local history while enjoying the close proximity to vineyards, beaches and the a cycle track that will take you into Napier or Havelock North.
