The villa is a stone's throw from Cahors, famous for its wine and the Pont Valentré, an imposing bridge with several locks over the Lot river. The surrounding area is exceptionally vast and is just part of the grand Causses de Gramat: a 350-metre-high limestone plateau with rock walls so high that even mountain goats are frightened by them. Explore Saint-Cirq-Lapopie and Rocamadour to learn about the region's history. Bonaguil Castle, a 13th-century gem, stands majestically there. In the summer, the area comes alive with markets, food festivals (complete with evening snacks and live music, because eating without a tune is boring), and flea markets.
