Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Lovely house with a very large living and dining area. Great views over the estuary. Lovely woodland setting. Very scenic local area.

Negative: It was difficult to find. It is located along a long, narrow and in places very steep farm track. There was no sign at the road end indicating that this was the correct track and we went down two other tracks before we found the correct one. There was a video to guide guests, but although it showed the journey along part of the track, it was not clear enough about where the track actually starts. I would not wish to make this journey in the dark. The one shower is downstairs. The upstairs toilet is difficult to use as it is angled under a low sloping roof. The stairs are steep and there is no handrail. A simple rope handrail would help. There was just about enough equipment in the house, but lots of non matching glasses and plates rather than full sets.

Summary: Lovely house in beautiful location but hard to find and could be better equipped.
