Situated in a more rural setting, with pohutukawas and grazing cattle on surrounding hills this 2010 built bach is very sheltered and only a flat 300 metre stroll to the beach. The quiet subdivision is great for kids to enjoy riding their bikes or scooters away from the busy road and foot traffic. We are handy to the boat launching end of Oakura Bay or over the hill to Ohawini Bay.
The bach consists of two separate pavillions with adjoining covered and fully gated deck area. Open plan kitchen, dining and living flows out onto a generous covered deck area, and being north facing gets plenty of sunshine.
There is a TV with Freeview. The kitchen is well equipped. The living side has a separate toilet.
The other pavillion is made up of three bedrooms all with ceiling fan and consisting of; 1 queen; 1 queen and two long singles; 2 king singles. Shower, toilet and washing machine in the bathroom.
A cleaning charge is required, however we do expect our guests to tidy up after themselves and leave it as you find it.
Our preference is for you to bring your own linen - however, it may be possible to supply at an additional cost $50 - please enquire.
Oakura Bay is located 3 hours north of Auckland and 45min North East of Whangarei, it is one of the safest beaches in the North for swimming with fantastic fishing, diving, shell fish and gorgeous beach.
There is Charter fishing available, dive fills, dairy with fuel pumps and takeaway shop with coffee, homemade breads and baking.
The Gallery and Cafe Helena Bay Hill is a 22km 20 min drive. It offers magnificent views, sub tropical gardens to wander and relax whilst enjoying your coffee and viewing the artworks.
