Summary: This Logis is in a pretty environment. It could be so good but it’s management that lets it down! We arrived after the check in time then had to phone to get an access code. The reception wasn’t manned till much later. When we booked this hotel it was because of the reviews of tge restaurant. On arrival we found the restaurant wasn’t on site and it was closed for the summer!
Breakfast was available and we checked the start time of 7am as we had to leave early. The breakfast was on time and ok for a continental breakfast. Then we tried to pay to checkout but the young lady said only her boss could take payment and she couldn’t even tell us the cost! She said her boss would be there at 10am! After we said we’d have to leave she went to get her boss who was clearly unhappy about being disturbed and took payment without speaking.

Summary: This is a cute little hotel in a good location. Easy to find and easy access to nearby grocery store and restaurant. Nice to have two pillows for each bed. It is quiet and roomier than most other hotel rooms at this price. I would stay here again. Charming french neighborhood.

Summary: The room was adequate for a 1-night stay. A lovely 15 mn walk takes you to a number of restaurants and the town of Cresson was much more ttractive than anticipated.The owners were very helpful, particularly Madame, who chatted about places we might visit during our forthcoming holiday and wrote down information for us.

Summary: Great hotel with an excellent location for getting on/off at the St Malo ferry port. Staff are attentive. Rooms clean and well maintained. Free wifi that's pretty darn fast.

Summary: Although a little way out from the centre of Rennes the hotel was relatively easy to find and has the benefit of free parking. There are 17 eating places in close proximity to the hotel but a drive into Rennes is also a practical option. The very best recommendation for the Lodge de Valette is the warm welcome and friendly and helpful service provided by the proprietors.
