Alternatively, take a 10-minute drive past Cooks Beach to the landing point and take a 2-minute leisurely boat trip across to Whitianga for more bars and restaurants. There is plenty to explore nearby, including 1 hour boat tours to Catherdral Cove, Poikete Arch, Motueka Island, Mahurangi Island, Whale Cave, Blowhole, Orua Seacav and Champagne Bay!
