Step straight on to the beach from the deck, dine on the deck or at the stone table on the beach. The beach is literally at your doorstep - with the deck seamlessly connecting the house to the beach. You just couldn't be closer. Walk out to the deck from the living room to the outdoor dining table and benches, along with a new infra red barbecue. This part of the deck is covered to provide ultra violet light protection and wind protection for comfortable outdoor dining. A large and comfortable bali lounger is on the uncovered part of the deck. A wonderful place to curl up and read a book, have a nap, or gaze at the sea or the stars. A couple more steps takes you straight off the deck on to the beach. Our wonderful tuscan stone table and heavy wooden benches sits at the edge of the beach. We love dining here for appetisers or early evening meals when the days are warm and still, and the sun has mellowed. A great place from which to admire the ruby coloured sunsets that gives the Bay its name, and to watch the town of Nelson light up across the bay. Located in the heart of Nelson's natural paradise, ideal for day trips to the spectacular Abel Tasman and Kahurangi National Parks. On the Great Taste Cycle Trail. The house is also close to excellent vineyards, great cafes, local craft markets and artisan studios. The house was totally renovated and repainted, inside and out, in 2018. The house colours are relaxing shades of green that reflect and harmonise with the sea and surrounds. The new carpet is taupe (which made us think of sand) and is laid in the main living area and bedrooms. The dining area, kitchen, bathroom and hallways have polished rimu flooring. The living area is comfortable with two leather couches and two leather armchairs. There is a flat screen panasonic television, blue ray and cd players, and blu-tooth Bose speaker. Unlimited free wifi is provided. There is a ceiling mounted fan to keep you cool in the warmer months, and to circulate heat when it's cooler. A newly installed double burning low emission wood burner is centrally placed in the living area. The kitchen is birch ply, the beautiful white bench is caesar stone, and the floor is varnished rimu. All the appliances are new, and include an AEG induction hob and electric oven, Bosch dishwasher, Panasonic inverter microwave, and Mitsubishi 3 drawer fridge. We especially love the new fridge with a dedicated middle drawer for keeping vegetables beautifully fresh. The bathroom has a new shower, double vanity, and heated towel rail (no toilet in the bathroom). There's plenty of hot water with mains pressure. The toilet room is separate and includes a new small handbasin vanity and mirror. It's great to have a separate toilet so we can all enjoy relaxing showers without interruptions :-) The laundry appliances are in the garage, with internal access from the house. Provided is a new Bosch front loader washing machine, Bosch drier, and a wash tub. A retractable clothes line is located just outside the external garage door for close and easy access. Altogether, it's lovely, relaxed and thoroughly modern beach house - and we hope you enjoy your time at the house as much as we do :-) Some of our most recent guests gave the following feedback: "This house was perfect for us - stunning location, very clean, a fantastic kitchen with lots of thoughtful extras.
