Sit out on the shaded deck or in the lounge or lie on one of the beds in the two main bedrooms and soak up the magnificent views of Lake and Mount Tarawera that stretch out in front of you.
If you have a boat, launch it at the nearby Stoney Point Reserve boat ramp and tie it up at our private jetty at the foot of the property. From there you can go out on the lake and fish, waterski or go to walking and camping points on other parts of the lake, visit the Landing cafe and restaurant or go to the hot pools that are only accessible by boat. There is a dedicated boat trailer park on the property.
The main house has an upstairs master bedroom with lake views and an ensuite. Downstairs there are two bedrooms - one with a queen bed that looks out to the lake and a second bedroom that has twin bunks. There is a separate bathroom and toilet downstairs.
In the lounge there is a flat screen smart TV so possible to stream your devices to this, (If you have Skygo you should be able to stream sky to the TV) a DVD player and Chromecast. On the mezzanine floor there is a pool table, a selection of board games and children's toys and a well stocked library.
The house has a modern kitchen with a Westinghouse oven, microwave, Ikon grill, slow cooker and dishwasher. It also has a separate laundry with washing machine and dryer.
For outdoor cooking there is a choice of a four burner 'Beefeater' BBQ or a 6 burner BBQ with gas supplied. There is also a Kilwell fish smoker.
In addition, there is a separate cottage comprising a large room with a queen and single bed with a well equipped kitchenette, separate shower and toilet, TV with Freeview and a DVD player.
Pillows, duvets and duvet covers, sheets, pillowcases and towels are provided and you will have been charged for this at $35 per person.
The property is also an ideal winter location for some quality R & R. Just pack up some warm clothes for those bracing lakeside walks along with a stack of good books, magazines and DVDs (or you can Chromecast). Inside you will be as warm as toast with the choice of the heatpump or a roaring open fire. There is an abundant supply of dry firewood, electric blankets on all the beds and oil fired heaters available in each room. Just sink into one of the leather recliners in the lounge and relax!
