Thyme Out is the front cottage of the two "Thyme Cottages " on this property. Fabulous and popular holiday house right next to a creek which is great for kayaking. Right across a quiet road from a gorgeous white sand beach. No houses in front of us and great sea views. Thyme Out has an extra front deck to look out over the sea. Perfect for families or couples. Eco cottage, separated from a similar cottage ( Wild Thyme) by a huge deck. Works really well for two families or group of friends in each two bedroomed cottage, although still fine if you just want one house as the houses are private enough with own little fenced areas.
There is also a sleep out with a queen bed and wee lounge area that can be rented at an extra cost ( The Palace)
Main huge deck between houses is fenced; great for young children. Dogs welcome. Large lawn area is fenced on 3 sides although there is the creek that runs on one side which is not fenced.. Kayaks provided. Can kayak on the adjoining creek and in the sea.
Good fishing. Great swimming spot for families. Cafes nearby at Matarangi and the famous Lukes Kitchen at the nearby Kuaotunu Village. So many beaches, and other activities to do around the Coromandel area. Room for parking and for a boat.

"Thyme Out By The Sea is opposite beautiful Kuaotunu Beach, sixteen kms from Whitianga and by the sea. Enjoy this two bedroomed eco cottage. Beautifully decorated and fully self contained. Fantastic views of beach and also adjoining creek. Kayaks supplied. One bedroom has a queen bed and the other has a set of smaller single bunk beds.
Rent one cottage or both cottages( the other is on Airbnb as well & is called "Wild Thyme by The Sea")
The houses are separate, but joined by a huge deck.
There is also a sleepout (The Palace) which contains one room with a queen bed in it. It is attached to an outdoor area (a roofed in deck) with a table and chairs to relax. See pictures. This can only be rented with one or both of the houses. POA.
There is also room for a couple of tents. $25 pp & maximum people on whole property is 12
By arrangement & if suitable, one well trained dog per house may be permitted. Check with us.
Solar powered (with grid back up), bamboo floors, dishwashers,fenced. Kayaks available Outside shower (& inside of course). Also an extra outside toilet & fish cleaning sink.
Beach front; unobstructed views and access right across the road. Great for body surfing and swimming. Collect mussels off the rocks and also fish from the beach, rocks or a kayak. Great boating and fishing area. also close to all the attractions of Coromandel Peninsula.

I recently had the pleasure of spending a few nights in your Thyme cottages with my parents (and their little dog), and it's fair to say that we have all fallen for your little slice of paradise. Seeing as we so thoroughly enjoyed our thyme (sorry, couldn't resist) there, I thought that I would book my parents back in for a few nights in as their Christmas present.
Please let me know if this is at all possible, and thanks again for our recent stay. It was bliss!
Cheers Greta " We do allow tents if you are renting the whole property, but have a maximum number of 18 people. Our water and sewage won’t cope with more than that.
